Life has been busy for Edina and her community and in the past month Home of Grace has become quite the farm. The 180 chickens they have been raising have now begun laying eggs, making it possible to generate some daily income. A generous gift allowed Home of Grace to purchase a cow. The cow can produce up to 20 litres of milk a day – enough milk both for the children to drink and for Home of Grace to sell. Last week a calf was born – a great addition! An important goal of the program is for Home of Grace to become partially self sustaining – farming is one way for this to become possible.
